Get closer to the ancient history of Lochbroom, its people and their relationship to the sea, the weather and boats. Family workshop exploring anything from the first use of the coastline for gathering seafood, to the sea voyages, fishing and amazing local skills of sailing. 

Start at Ullapool Museum then a gentle walk around the harbour and the beach. 

Creative activity for all ages – and maybe gain some boatbuilding skills

Ullapool Stories – films, slides and history from Ullapool Museum

The First World War lasted for more than four years and cost millions of lives.

Between 1914 and 1918 the War engulfed the lives of everyone in Britain, Europe and the wider world. For the people of Lochbroom it was no different.

Ullapool Museum's new exhibition explores and commemorates the lives of the people of Lochbroom during the First World War.

Hear the powerful stories of those who went to war, and the voices of the families and communities left behind at home.
